THEODORE ROOSEVELT COUNTY PARK, comprised of 1185 acres, offers hiking along the Paumanok Path (a self-guided nature trail brochure available), camping, picnicking, saltwater fishing, canoeing, biking, hunting, a horseback riding facility, 3.5 miles of nature trails, outer beach access and surfcasting. It is also the site of the historic Third
House, later used by Teddy Roosevelt after the Spanish American War, which now hosts a Spanish American War Exhibit and Gift Shop that is open from May-October, Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm.
